Does using a hair-gel cause hair-loss?

Hello!





A friend of mine told me the other day that applying hair-gel to your hair may cause hair-loss. Is it true?





Also, he said that oiling your hair immediately after taking a bath causes dandruff in the hair. Is it correct or a myth?

Firstly, Hair Gel dosent directly cause hair loss. Hair drys and damages ur hair, which ';Can'; cause some hairfall, but not due to scalp problems. Due to brittle hair, hair breakage.





You shudnt apply oil on wet hair. Its bad for ur scalp. I dont know if that will result on dandruff or not, but i know it will clogg ur pores in the scalp and ur scalp wont be able to breath. so you might get a lotta hair problems due to that.Does using a hair-gel cause hair-loss?
your friend is quite right,...don 't use hair gel it contain certain chemicals which decreases the strength of your hair and your hair will fall regularly and ya its also correct that using hair oil just after bath will also cause hair loss.... you can refer to a dermatoligist..........................k

but using oil after bath ll not cause dandruff.... but if u apply oil at night and if u take bath without shampoo it also causes dandruff.......
YES! it does i use 2 wear it when i was a teenager when i use 2 go school but now i lost so much hair itz so embarassing 4 me to go out without my head covered i dont know how 2 cure it. im still regreting why on earth did i use that 'stupid' 'idiot' GEL! AWWWWWWWWWWWWW

ya...my mom is a beauty consultant. she also advices me to avoid hair gels...now have to listen to her...


but there is parachute gel...its natural no harmful chemicals...


so u can try that...

if you are using cheap quality hair gel or the type of gel which not suits with your hair type then it is quite possible that it cauz hair loss to you

no adding oil to your hair after a bath is a good thing it would stop dandruff who ever said that is an asshole* applying to much gel will cause dry scalp that would lead to hair lost.
No!!! I use L.A. Looks sports gel, and have been using it for like 2 years. EVERY day!! And I wash my hair everynight before I go to bed with head and shoulders shampoo.. I like the dry scalp kind.. Smells the best.. I never have a problem with hair falling out, or dandriff.. My older brother also uses L.A. looks every day.. Never has problems either.. But I say if your goin to use gel, L.A. looks sports gel is the best to use.. Best shampoo to wash it out is Head And Shoulders Dry Scalp care..





Cost for L.A. Looks Sports gel is probably about 2 dollars. Its cheap.. Works awesome though!!
