Can hair gel cause hair loss?

I have my hair spiked in the front (you know the look) I have no hair loss I would just like to keep it that way if you catch my driftCan hair gel cause hair loss?
Not directly, but if you put on too much then yank a comb through it it will cause some breakage. If your hair is short enough to spike, breakage should not be an issue.Can hair gel cause hair loss?

Hair gel isn't good for your hair and COULD ultimately cause it to break off but I don't think it will make your hair fall out.
